Jaylen Korporaal Tests in Sevilla, Spain
Last week, Jaylen Korporaal and his team traveled to Seville for an intensive training session. What started as a promising weekend quickly turned into a technical challenge.
Day 1 – A Promising Start, but Technical Issues
Jaylen started strong on the first day with several solid sessions on the track. Unfortunately, the engine suddenly stalled and kept doing so. After a thorough inspection, a faulty sensor was identified as the culprit. Once replaced, the problem seemed to be resolved, allowing Jaylen to get back on track.
Day 2 – Wrenching and Testing
The second day was entirely dedicated to working on the bike and testing. The team worked tirelessly to get the engine running optimally, and only at the end of the day did they believe they had found the issue. With renewed hope, they looked forward to the final training day.
Day 3 – A Promising Start, but a Setback
The third day began well: the engine no longer stalled, and Jaylen was finally able to complete some laps. However, during the fourth session, the power suddenly dropped, and the issue could not be resolved on-site. As a result, the team decided to return home and put the engine into revision.
Despite the setbacks, Jaylen remains positive about the week:
“Yes, it was another long trip with my dad. But always fun. The riding I was able to do was good, unfortunately, the engine had other plans, and I wasn’t able to complete all the sessions. It is what it is. The engine will be repaired, and I’ll be back training on the Moto3 soon.”
The weekend in Seville tested the team’s resilience, but their teamwork and determination ensured they overcame this challenge together.
On to the next training session, so Jaylen can go full throttle again!
